A MULTITUDE OF OTHER CRUS

The hidden face of the Médoc vineyard, these “other crus” are the very essence of the region.

Without these estates, the Médoc would not really be the Médoc. These wines represent the complexity of the terroir; they ensure the survival of the essential values of the Médoc and the people who live there. Anchored in the peninsula the Médocain people cherish their independence, expecting nothing from outsiders especially when it comes to talking about their wine for them!

What matters most to these winemakers is to make quality wine that can be appreciated at its true value, not subject to another’s judgement, unless it is that of the final consumer.

The taste of pure discovery

In the Médoc, many owner winemakers have chosen not to belong to any classification, even though their wines may have the characteristics to qualify.

They prefer the taster to be guided by their own sensations. Rather than being defined by someone else’s value judgement, these winemakers believe that the real classification is that of the consumer.

Aiming for consistent and perfect quality.

Spread across the 8 Medoc appellations covering over 4 000 hectares, these properties undergo the same quality controls as the all other Medoc wines. They are subject to the tests and tastings of the appellation rules of the Institut National des Appellations d’Origine, to guarantee their conformity and quality.

This large reserve of quality wines is well worth discovering representing 25 % of the total Medoc production; they are a quiet force, which ensures the survival of the Medoc through the years.
